Welcome to the academics section of Bishop McCort Catholic High School, the home of the Crimson Crushers.
Program of Study
Bishop McCort offers one of the best college preparatory programs of study in the area in a unique academic environment. Enriched by Catholic intellectual and cultural traditions, it is a place that throughout its history has promoted excellent teaching.
At Bishop McCort, you can join a community of students and teachers committed to advancing its rich Catholic mission of “Learning to think rigorously, so as to act rightly and to serve humanity better.” (Pope John Paul II). At Bishop McCort, you will find a diverse community of students and teachers who are committed to that mission.
Bishop McCort offers 6 Advanced Placement courses and 23 Honors courses, more than any other school in our area. It is this curriculum that prepares our students to excel at the finest colleges and universities across the country.
Students are prohibited from enrolling in five (5) study halls per week. Students will be placed in a course if they choose not to elect one. Each student enrolls in a minimum of seven (7) periods of classes each semester. The courses represent class instruction for 36 weeks. Students must have parent permission for the courses they enroll in.
