How much is tuition? When is tuition paid?
Tuition for the 2011-12 school year is $5,395. Financial Aid is available for those who qualify. Applications are made by applying online at www.factstuitionaid.com. Tuition can be paid monthly, quarterly, and semi-annually. Senior accounts must be paid before April of the students graduation year.
How many students are enrolled at McCort?
McCort’s current enrollment is 408 students in grades 9 – 12. There are 200 boys and 208 girls in the school.
What percentage of McCort graduates attend college?
98% of the graduating Class of 2010 is pursing a degree in a post-secondary program. The Class of 2010 was offered more than $5.2 million in merit scholarships.
What is the teacher/student ratio?
The student to teacher ration at BMCHS is 12 to 1.
Are religion courses required for all students?
All students at BMCHS are required to take religion courses. McCort welcomes students from all faiths. Courses are taught from the Catholic prospective and traditions with an emphasis on the development of Christian leadership in church and community. BMCHS respects other religious affiliations and traditions and encourages all students to be active members of his or her church.
Is the school accredited?
Bishop McCort Catholic High School is accredited by the Middles States Association of Colleges and Schools and has been approved by the state of Pennsylvania as a non-public school.
Is there a dress code at BMHCS?
Boys and girls at BMCHS are required to wear dress pants (black, navy, khaki and grey) and oxford button-down (light blue and white) dress shirts. A uniform sweatshirt (grey or navy) may be worn during the winter months and is available for purchase in the Main Office. Specific uniform details are available in the Student Handbook.
What are the transportation options?
The Pennsylvania School Code of 1949 requires all school districts to provide transportation to students to and from public and private schools provided the school is within 10 miles of the Johnstown School District.
Junior and senior students may purchase a parking permit in the Main Office. Registration for parking permits is conducted in April for the following school year.
