Regula Signs with Seton Hill University

Regula, a four-year letterman and three-time LHAC All-Conference selection, helped lead the Crushers to the District VI title game this past year. Regula, who was also a team captain and Santa Classic All-Star, scored 20 goals and assisted 16 more during her senior season. For her Bishop McCort career, Regula ultimately scored 63 goals and set up another 54.

Regula’s strong play on the field earned her the September Point Stadium Award nomination. In a 3-1 win over rival Somerset, Regula scored all three goals for the Crushers. Regula was the only female student-athlete to be nominated for the 2016 award.

In addition to playing for the Crushers, Regula was also a two-year member of the PA West Olympic Development Program.

Regula, an honor student, plays for the Pittsburgh-based Arsenal Soccer Club in the demanding Colonial Cup League.

She is also involved in track and field where she lettered twice, pep club, L’Education en Vogue, and SADD.

Regula commented, “I want to thank my family, coaches and teammates. Without their support, I would not be where I am today. After visiting Seton Hill for the first time, I knew it was the right fit. Academically and athletically, Seton Hill provides me with the best opportunity to excel. I am truly excited to be part of the Griffin family and play for Coach McNab.”

“While at Bishop McCort, Alexis has committed herself to success in the classroom and on the athletic field. Her competitive drive has helped her achieve personal accolades, while at the same time making those around her better. I am confident that Alexis’ success will continue at the collegiate level,” said athletic director Tim Schultz.

Regula is the granddaughter of James and Barbara Regula.
