And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

- ColossianS 3:17

It is obvious as soon as you walk through the front doors of Bishop McCort.  The heart of our school is the Chapel.  This is both symbolic and providential as we strive daily to be a Christ-Centered community.  One of our main goals is for every student to leave Bishop McCort as a Christ-Centered individual.

At Bishop McCort Catholic High School, you can join a community of students and teachers committed to advancing its rich Catholic mission of “Learning to think rigorously, so as to act rightly and to serve humanity better” (St. Pope John Paul II).  Though all students, whatever their religious background or heritage, participate in Theology classes, here at Bishop McCort, our faith is integrated in everything we do, both in and out of the classroom.

In this section, there is information regarding school liturgies and sacraments and other prayer and worship services.  Guidelines and news is available on the student Christian Service projects & McCort Cares activities.  There is also details on Catholic Retreats and on the Catholic parishes in the Johnstown area; and maybe even some videos or pictures of our faith in action.

At Bishop McCort Catholic High School, the words of St. Augustine are an every day objective:

"Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of Faith is to see what you believe"

We hope that you can see some of the rewards of faith and our beliefs in action in this section as well as anytime you are amongst the Bishop McCort Catholic High School Community.
