Why McCort?

The philosophy of Bishop McCort Catholic High School, based on the traditions and teaching of the Roman Catholic Church, acknowledges that students, faculty, and staff are active witnesses in a Christian-centered community in partnership with parents, alumni, and parish communities.

Our students are a diverse group of unique individuals with inherent personal, intellectual, and spiritual value who have the ability to learn and achieve. Bishop McCort affords the fullest and best opportunity to realize a Catholic education, namely, to provide an atmosphere in which the Gospel message is proclaimed, community in Christ is experienced, service to our brothers and sisters is the norm, and thanksgiving and worship of God is cultivated.

Our challenging curriculum and Christian service requirements integrate a relevant education in a Catholic atmosphere and develop character, moral responsibility, and self-discipline within the individual. Learning takes place in a safe, well-maintained facility where ownership and pride are fostered.  Our mission is to be second to none.

Our students are very involved, dedicating time outside the classroom to various clubs, teams, organizations, community service activities, and part-time employment.  All of our students display passion for, commitment to, and leadership in their activities outside of school. Whether a talented cantor or a well-rounded student government leader, McCort students get involved, stay involved, and facilitate the involvement of others. They find activities they love, dedicate time to them and take responsibility for them.
