The concert band at Bishop McCort Catholic High School meets the entire school year.  At this time, students wishing to play in the concert band must also be enrolled in marching band.  We strive to give our students a well-rounded musical education including music history, music theory, and performance through basic band literature.  Because of the performance nature of this class, students are graded on personal progress and attendance at all performances and rehearsals.  Students are given the opportunity to audition for festival bands such as IUP Honors Band, County, District, Region, and State festivals.  Students enrolled in Concert Band will perform at the Christmas and Spring Concerts, as well as at many community events.
