Named Scholarships

Named Scholarships benefit qualifying McCort students. To establish a Named Scholarship a commitment of a gift of $500 or more for three consecutive years is required and allows the donors to create the scholarship in their name or the name of a loved one.

With a named scholarship, your entire contribution is awarded each year to a qualified student.

In October 2012, Bishop McCort Catholic High School celebrated the thirteenth anniversary of the Named Scholarship Program at a luncheon in the high school cafeteria. The luncheon provided the opprtunity for our thoughtful and generous Benefactors to meet their scholarship recipient(s) and for our student scholarship awardees to meet and personally thank the individual or family for their commitment and support of their Catholic education.

From the one scholarship established in 1998 that aided only a few students, there are now 66 scholarships which help more than 200 students. All funds directly assist students with tuition. With 75% of the entire student body qualifying for financial aid, these funds are critical for families. Without this support, some students would be financial able to attend BMCHS.
