Educational Improvement Tax Credit

Pennsylvania Commonwealth law permits C-Corporations, Subchapter S-Corporations, Partnerships, LLC’s and other pass-through entities to earn state tax credits when providing scholarships for financially-eligible students at minimal or no cost, depending on your tax liability. The Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) provides companies with a 75% tax credit for donations to a non-profit scholarship or educational improvement organization. The tax credit increases to 90% if the company commits to making the same donation(s) for two consecutive years.

The EITC has accomplished what many in Pennsylvania have been advocating for years; a way for the business community to be directly involved in education! EITC monies directed to BMCHS have provided 456 qualifying students with scholarships since its inception.

Your participation in EITC will afford a qualifying student the chance to attend Bishop McCort Catholic High School. This EITC scholarship will provide them with a comprehensive character-based education in a Catholic environment.

For more information on how your business can participate in EITC please contact, Pamela Crooks, Director of Alumni Relations and Communications at 814.248.3867 or pcrooks@mccort.org.
