Mr. Smith is a 1989 graduate of Bishop McCort and a first team all-state football player for the Crushers. He continued his football career at Saint Francis University as a defensive lineman. Mr. Smith brings 27 years of coaching experience with him, having worked as a defensive coordinator at Richland High School and Greater Johnstown High School as they claimed District 6 titles during his tenure (Richland 1 and Johnstown 2). A wrestling coach at both Richland and Bishop McCort, he helped to lead 2 wrestlers to state titles.

 

Mr. Smith looks forward to his new role, “This is an amazing opportunity. To lead this program, a program that began my football career, and move it to the next level is gratifying on so many levels. I am excited to work with the fine young men at Bishop McCort to help them grow physically, emotionally and spiritually.”
