A Somerset teenager is using Kickstarter, a popular crowdfunding platform, to help fund a startup company that produces American-made leather boots.

Mark Barbera, a Kemper scholar and marketing major at La Salle University in Philadelphia, is seeking to raise at least $14,500 by Sept. 18.
