Good afternoon McCort & Divine Mercy Families!
Cuddles for Kids (CFK) is an organization near and dear to the McCort family. It was founded in 2006 by Conner Hagins. Conner is a 2015 graduate of Bishop McCort Catholic High School and a 2015 Prudential Spirit of Community award recipient for his efforts with CFK. Conner is currently a sophomore at LaRoche College, where he is on the men's soccer team and roller hockey team. He is Director of Community Service for the LaRoche Student Government Association, Social Chair for the National Society of Leadership and Success, and is a Brand Ambassador with the Pittsburgh Steelers. We are proud of the way in which Conner continues to represent both Bishop McCort and his hometown of Johnstown!
Since it's inception Cuddles for Kids (CFK) has donated over 125,000 items valued at over $450,000 to benefit children not only in Cambria County and throughout western PA, but across the world. CFK continues to support McCort with an annual donation of coloring books to our "Breakfast with Santa," sponsored by L' Education En Vogue. This year CFK will present a $250 college scholarship to a graduating senior who contributes to his/her school and community through service.
CFK will be holding its 3rd event at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh on November 18th with the help of Shonda Moats, Arthur Moats (Steeler linebacker), Maureen Kunitz (wife of Pittsburgh Penguins Chris Kunitz), Celina Pompeani (PensTV Host), Miss PA USA, and Steelers mascot Steely McBeam.
It's because of donations such as yours that CFK has been able to thrive and continue to make a difference in the lives of others, one cuddle at a time!
