Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's Speech - I Have A Dream

(Chapter 16)
Speech was given at the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. 
Discussion on the segregation and discrimination faced by people of color across the U.S. in the 1960s. This speech led to the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, giving civil rights and anti-discrimination rules the power of law.

Scholastic Quiz Results

The Scholastic Quiz teams were in action against Richland last night at Richland. The Junior Varsity wasted no time in the contest, taking the first several questions, and keeping up the pressure for the entire match. Emma Ellsworth paced the group, with Connor Coyle and Meghan Smitherman contributing many of the toss-up points. The wealth was also shared with Mikayla Eckenrod, Rachel Nagy, and Luke Tercyk (making his first appearance this season) lending some points to bring the win home.

The Varsity Scholastic Quiz team picked up where the JV left off. Bryce Kramer paced the varsity attack, punishing the Richland Squiz team. The team was awarded many of their bonus questions, with Andrew Massoud, Matthew Gaborek, Nathan Kindja, and Jacob Corona contributing toss-up answers. This match saw the first entry of Matthew Petrosky on the Varsity team. He was vital to many bonus questions. The Squiz Crushers never looked back from their first half lead...
