Honorees were nominated by the community and chosen not only for their professional accomplishments but also for their dedication to the area.
Piatak, a French teacher at BMCHS, started teaching at 25 Osborne Street in 1978. In addition to her classroom obligations, she is the National Honor Society adviser, graduation coordinator, faculty liaison on the student assistance team, member of the faculty council and a part-time assistant in McCort’s Office of Advancement.
The local community also benefits from Piatak’s talents and commitment to the area. She serves as the secretary for the Bottleworks Board of Directors and sits on the Grandview Cemetery Board of Incorporators.
