Edinboro University

Waynesburg University

George Mason University, Mason-Merit Scholarships

Students who submit an application for admission by November 1st are automatically considered for these scholarships through the Office of Admissions and the Scholarship Committee. Recipients of most Mason Scholarships are required to have a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.75 on a 4.0 scale in order for renewal. Santa Clara University, Johnsons Scholars Program

Each year the Johnsons Scholars Program (a rigorous, comprehensive undergraduate honors-level leadership development program) awards full-tuition merit scholarships to 10 high-achieving students.

Chatham University

Scholarship interview days are held for accepted students on Sunday January 28th at 11am and Sunday February 25th at 11am.

Ithaca College

Leadership Scholar Program: an annually renewable $7,000 scholarship

MLK Scholar Program: a minimum annually renewable award of up to $25,000 and in some cases up to full tuition.

Park Scholar Program: a renewable annual award that covers the full cost of attendance (tuition, room, board), plus stipends for living expenses, books, and technology.

Penn State University

Indiana University of Pennsylvania

Information regarding scholarship opportunities can be found at www.iup.edu/scholarships.

All interested admitted students must complete the IUP Scholarship Application through their MyIUP account. Most IUP scholarships are awarded based on academic merit.

St. Vincent College

Scholarship offerings are based on test scores and high school grade point average. Awards are based on full-time enrollment, and most are maintained for all eight semesters as long as a minimum 2.0 GPA is met. Scholarships include:

Chancellor’s Scholarship – Merit of $20,500 per year

Presidential Scholarship – Merit of $19,500 per year

Dean’s Scholarship – Merit of $18,500 per year

Faculty Scholarship – Merit of $16,500 per year

Other scholarships include the Wimmer Scholarship Competition, Transfer Student Grants, Alumni Grants, the Benedictine Pastors’ Awards, Catholic High School Graduate Grants, the Aurelius Scholarship (Business, Economics, and Government), the Fred Rogers Scholarship (Careers involving children and early learning), Stanley Black & Decker Scholarships (first generation college students majoring in engineering science, math, or physics), and STEP Scholarships (Science, technology, engineering, and math), to name a few.

Lafayette University, Marquis Award

The most outstanding applicants are recognized with this merit-based award named for the Marquis. Recipients of a Marquis award display the Marquis' ideals of global citizenship, scholarly pursuits, leadership, and concern for others. The Fellowship is valued at $40,000 a year and The Scholarship is valued at $24,000 a year. Virginia Military Institute, The Institute Scholarship Program

Full and partial scholarships are available to students who are “academically talented and intellectually curious, with a well-balanced high school record that includes leadership roles and a broad spectrum of extracurricular activities.”

Must meet or exceed a combined SAT of 1350 (critical reading & math) or ACT of 31, with a High School GPA of 3.7 or higher

The scholarship is entirely merit based and includes automatic admission into the Institute Honors Program (www.vmi.edu/honors) Continuation of the award is based on maintaining a GPA of 3.5, active participation in the Honors Forum and elective program activities each semester, completion of 2 Honors Seminars, and the completion of an honors thesis during the first class year.

University of Dayton, Leadership in Service Scholarship

For admitted UD students, worth $10,000 ($2,500 per year for four years).

 Pennsylvania Army National Guard

Pennsylvania Education Assistance Program will pay 100% of the tuition to the following schools for up to five years: Bloomsburg, California, Cheyney, Clarion, East Stroudsburg, Edinboro, Indiana, Kutztown, Lock Haven, Mansfield, Millersville, Shippensburg, Slippery Rock, West Chester, and the following community colleges- Allegheny County, Bucks County, Cambria, County, Harrisburg Area, Luzerne County, Northampton, Philadelphia, Westmoreland County, Beaver County, Butler County, Delaware County, Lehigh Carbon, Montgomery County, Northwest Tech, Reading

If you attend any other PHEAA approved Pennsylvania school, you will receive over $6,820 per year for up to five years. You will also receive $372 per month for up to 36 months from the Montgomery GI Bill and your drill pay. If you plan to attend school out of state you can discuss National Guard options in that area.
