Four Crushers Return from Studying in France

Connor Coyle, Rachel Nagy, Ben Murdy and Nick Muciola just returned from a 10 day adventure in Ambialet, France.  In Ambialet, they earned college credits at Saint Francis University and also participated in day trips around the area.  We would like to thank Saint Francis University for their continued partnership in this great program!

"For Pete's Sake" - Annual ALS Walk

Calling all members of the Crusher Nation…

The Annual ALS Walk at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 28th, 2018.

Bishop McCort walks in honor of Pete Duranko ('62) and all those affected by ALS. Pete has meant so much to the school both on and off the field.

A limited number of Bishop McCort "For Pete's Sake" t-shirts will be available to the first participants and a donation of $10 or more.

Registration begins at 8AM followed by the walk at 10AM.

Play Wholeheartedly

Congratulations to the Girls Softball Team on winning the Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference. The team compiled a 12-5 record and made it to the District 6 Semifinals.

Study Wholeheartedly

Luke Tercek was named one of The Tribune Democrat's Academic All-Stars. Luke's GPA is 102.22. His achievements include NHS, Mu Alpha Theta, Mathematics Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Golf (LHAC Team Champion), Scholastic Quiz, Math Team, Key Club, and Ski Club.  Luke is planning to attend Pitt-Johnstown in the fall.

McCort Day at PNC Park

We have 100 tickets available for the Pirates game on Sunday, June 24.  The cost of the tickets is $31.  The Pirates allowed us to exchange tickets due to the poor weather conditions at the start of the season.  If you are interested please call the Business Office at (814) 248-3884.

Research is clear that summer reading is a benefit to the continued academic achievement of students. Therefore, the teachers at Bishop McCort Catholic High School/Divine Mercy Middle School are encouraging students to take time over the summer to read at every opportunity!

Girls Basketball: June 18th and 19th, Grades 3-8 @ Bishop McCort from 9:00am-3:00pm

Boys Basketball: June 25th & 26th, Grades 3-8 @ Bishop McCort from 9:00am-3:00pm

Cheer: September 15th, All grade levels @ Bishop McCort from 9:00am-3:00pm (Students will cheer for 1/2 of the 9/21 home football game.)

Ken Lantzy All-star Classic 2018

Bishop McCort has four individuals selected to play in the annual Ken Lantzy All-star Classic. Anthony Walters, Devin Nau, Richard Phillips, and Carnell Andrews (not participating due to injury).

The game will be played on Friday, June 15th @ 7:00pm @ Trojan Stadium.

There is a free youth clinic on Tuesday, June 12th from 6:00pm-8:00pm @ Trojan Stadium for all students grades 1-6.

Bishop McCort students are traveling to Europe

Five students at Bishop McCort are getting the opportunity to travel to cities in Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic to learn more about the Holocaust. Bailey Yon, Kira Verhovsek, Allie Gehlmann, Mattie Updyke, and Zach Coleman as well as Mrs. Reaman and Ms. Piatak are all traveling together.
